- Lead the development and analysis of quantum error correction (QEC) protocols tailored to next-generation hardware.
- Collaborate closely with hardware teams, quantum architects, and software engineers to translate theory into hardware-aware solutions.
- Design and run simulation models, benchmark QEC performance, and identify opportunities for error mitigation and resource optimization.
- Publish research, contribute to internal QEC roadmaps, and mentor team members.
- PhD in Physics, Quantum Information, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Deep expertise in QEC theory (e.g., surface codes, LDPC codes, fault tolerance).
- Experience with quantum simulation tools (e.g., Qiskit, QuTiP, PennyLane).
- Ability to bridge theory and hardware constraints, translating abstract ideas into practical, implementable protocols.
- Experience with superconducting qubits, spin qubits, trapped ions, or neutral atoms.
- Prior work in error mitigation, decoder design, or cryogenic hardware environments.
