- Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and ensuring food quality and consistency
- Prepare and cook a variety of Asian-inspired dishes according to standardized recipes
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, including line cooks, prep cooks, and kitchen assistants, to maintain high standards of food production and hygiene
- Monitor food inventory levels and assist in ordering and receiving supplies to minimize waste and maintain freshness
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items, seasonal specials, and tasting menus
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, sanitation standards, and food handling procedures at all times
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including equipment maintenance and proper storage of ingredients
- Proven experience as a Junior Sous Chef or similar role in an Asian cuisine restaurant or hotel
- Strong culinary skills with a focus on Asian cooking techniques and flavor profiles
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor kitchen staff
- Creative flair and a passion for experimenting with new ingredients and flavors
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
