As a Steersman, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe navigation and maneuvering of vessels within waterways and ports.

Your expertise will contribute to the overall efficiency and success of maritime operations.

You will work closely with the navigation team, ship's crew, and port authorities to ensure vessels are steered safely through various conditions while adhering to maritime regulations and best practices.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Boat navigation and overall in charge of vessel
Maintain and upkeep the condition of the vessel under your charge
Maintain governmentissued certifications as required
Lower and man lifeboats when emergencies occur
Stand by wheels when ships are on automatic pilot and verify accuracy of courses using magnetic compasses
Steer ships under the direction of commanders or navigation officers or direct helmsmen to steer, following designated courses
