SGX Summer Internship Programme (May - August 2023)

Global Sales Origination (GSO) Internship Programme

We have available role in the following team:

Debt Capital Markets

Debt Capital Markets:

Part of the Global Sales & Origination (GSO) business unit, the Debt Capital Markets (DCM) team develops and executes the sales strategy to promote the listing of debt securities on SGX.

The team's key responsibilities include broadening and deepening the firm's intermediary network globally (such as arranger banks, law firms, government agencies and ESG service providers), as well as account management of key issuer clients and partner relationships.

Learning Objectives:

Understanding of fixed income market structure
Bond listing process and market practices
Latest developments in the rapidly evolving GSS (Green, Social and Sustainability) bond segment

The skills and exposure gained from this internship will prepare you for a future career in financial services, such as in investment or corporate banking, research or marketing.

Support the DCM team in marketing, business development and product development efforts
Conduct market research and data analysis using financial information tools (e.g. Bloomberg and Dealogic)
Prepare regular market and business updates or reports
Maintain internal databases, including data on outstanding listed bonds and market share, and prepare electronic mailers
Prepare and update marketing presentations and other sales materials
Support the planning and logistics of DCM related events and activities, such as online or physical seminars and bond listing ceremonies
Assist in client relationship management related areas
Assist with other activities or adhoc projects as necessary

Knowledge, Skills and Requirements:

Be available to start in midMay till August 2023 (for the Summer intake)
Have a good command of English, both written and oral
Be detailoriented and numerate
Have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn, and be able to multitask and work independently
Have a keen interest in capital markets
Have strong attention to detail and good communication skills
Ability to read, write and speak Chinese would be preferred
