Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overall operations of assigned tugs and barges in the fleet as per the company processes and guidelines.
- Assist with management and coordinate the bunker planning, bunker sourcing and bunkering activities for the fleet vessels.
- Coordinate with customers, charterers, suppliers, agents, crews and other stake holders for reporting and carrying out activities for efficient voyage operations.
- Plan and oversee execution of tug towing jobs including towing manual preparation, vessel preparation, bunker consumption planning, passage planning, provisions, fresh water etc and overall cost control for the voyage.
- Undertake / Attend vessel Marine Warranty Surveyor inspections for towing operations and plan for close out of observations.
- Understand the voyage / vessels' charter party terms to optimize the voyage execution.
- Arranging of pilots for inward and outward clearance, liaising with tug companies for arranging assist tugs for towing operations.
- Attend external audit/inspections/checks by the Flag State, Port State, Class, Clients, and other parties; ensure corrective action is taken on all identified deficiencies rectified; recommend appropriate fleetlevel corrective and preventative measures.
- Coordinate and interface with Singapore and Batam teams (Crewing, HSE, Commercial, Technical, Procurement etc) for activities towards vessel maintenance and vessel readiness.
- Ensure vessel certifications, defect lists and requisitions lists are updated and in compliance.
- Liaise closely with the Commercial team for bunker planning and vessel bunkering activities.
- Familiarize and promote the company's safety management system for implementation onboard vessels.
- Set good examples by working safely and upholding the standards as prescribed
- Participate in vessel HSSQE meetings and take every opportunity to disseminate to crew on safety messages
- Any other task requested to be carried out on adhoc basis.
- Prior experience working in a executive role
- Certification related to the role will be an advantage
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Having experience with monitoring expenses and preparing reports
