We are looking for a
Process Engineer to join our Technical team in Neste Singapore.


Process Engineer is technology owner and responsible for the management of change within the area of responsibility to drive continuous improvement in safety, reliability, productivity and flexibility.

Changes include for example capital investments, trial test runs, use of new feedstocks and additives, defining unit specific tolerances and improvements to standard operating procedures defining operating limits.


Your part in Neste journey
Your main responsibilities in creating a sustainable future are

  • Continuous development of production processes in mid and longterm to ensure safety, high operational availability, productivity, utilization, efficiency and flexibility.
  • Responsible for the Basis of Design (BOD) and Unit Specific Tolerances (UST) defining the operating limits for the units in the area of responsibility.
  • Conduct test runs, identify bottlenecks, develop solutions and manage capital investments in the early phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Support operations in troubleshooting major process challenges and investigating high risk nonconformances.
  • Improve process safety by facilitating risk assessments, managing actions development and implementation.
  • Site wide competence management and development for the technologies in the area of responsibility.
  • As Singapore refinery representative in the global technology team. Sharing and execution of best practices and common initiatives from Rotterdam and Porvoo refineries. Support process technology evaluation and development.
  • Technical support for the unit turnarounds including e.g shutdown, catalyst change out, investments and startup.


You will work closely with Operations, Maintenance and Engineering functions to strive for Operations Excellence in all plant performance aspects through improvement initiatives and projects.

You will report to the Process Engineering Lead in the Singapore refinery.


Keys to success in this role
The best combination of experiences, skills and background is
- _Degree in chemical engineering or relevant field and understanding of chemical processing unit operations and engineering._
- _At least three years of work experience in process engineering and operations in the oil and gas, refining or petrochemical industry._
- _Strong interpersonal and planning skills_
- _High safety standard and strong influencing skills_
- _Good team player with positive thinking_
- _Able to work under pressure and independently_
- _Strong collaboration skills and clear communication_
