Our client has established itself as a global transport and logistics company.

They are ranked as one of the largest container shipping lines and have diverted into global logistics network over the last few years operating in more than 30 countries.

As the Global Head of Risk Management, you will be managing the overall risk management processes for the group across business units.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for all the financial activities with the aim of achieving our financial targets and ensuring compliance with the Group's policies.

As a member of the senior leadership team, you will be expected to have a deep understanding of the business and to provide both financial and commercial inputs in business strategy and commercial initiatives.

In addition, you will manage the annual budgeting process, monthly financial reviews and forecasting activities, providing the MD will relevant financial analysis of the various aspects of the business.

You will ensure timely fulfilment of statutory reporting obligations.


The ChallengesTo prepare monthly financial reports, forecasts and board report

• Manage cash balance and prepare cash forecasts
• Manage the annual budgeting process
• Ensure timely fulfilment of all statutory reporting obligations
• Ensure timely and accurate tax filing of all PIL Log entities
• Manage financial audits and ensure timely and satisfactory resolutions of any audit findings
• Ensure timely and accurate analysis of financial results, cash management, taxation, the impact of budget variances and financial forecast/trends, audits, statutory reporting, control and compliance, transfer pricing etc.
• Perform financial planning & analysis for new business, expansion and advise on financial risk
• Review internal financial processes for improvements and efficiency
• To lead and ensure compliance with all policies, standards and procedures of PIL Group
• Keep abreast with new financial regulations and implications for the business
• Provide financial and commercial inputs and actively contribute to business strategy and commercial initiatives.
• You will lead, motivate and develop the team to ensure effective operations of the finance

What It Takes

• Degree in Accountancy or equivalent with Professional Qualifications e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, CPA
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the logistics industry, including audit experience with Big 4 and commercial experience. Knowledge of GAAP and International Financial Reporting Standard
