Strategy

  • Promote data & analytics driven decision making culture across business functions.
  • Enable selfservice reporting and analytics capabilities.

Business

  • Serve as a critical partner to the PvB business in providing data and actionable insights.
  • Act as an interface between business and data technology delivery teams.
  • Understand various business processes and expand knowledge on related data and dependencies.
  • Help educate business on available data & analytics capabilities and tools.

Processes

  • Conduct data exploration and data preparation for various business use cases.
  • Create appealing dashboards and visualize results through Tableau/MSTR to provide business insights to senior management.
  • Create strong blending and data transformation capabilities for generating rapid insights.
  • Translate business requirements to user stories for technology team for delivery
  • Coordinate/perform UAT on behalf of the business users, conduct sanity checks post release.
  • Identify process improvements and potential manual touch points.

Risk Management

  • Identifies, assesses, monitors, controls, and mitigates risks to the Group

Governance

  • Ensure strong due diligence on data confidentiality
  • Ensure risks are clearly identified, quantified, and escalated.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant internal and external policies and procedures, regulatory and statutory requirements.

Regulatory & Business Conduct

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Other Responsibilities

  • Other responsibilities as assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures from time to time.
  • 3+ years of handson experience in data management/analysis/transformation.
  • Proficient in Tableau, MicroStrategy, PowerBI or similar visualization tools
  • Knowledge of SQL, Alteryx, Dataiku, Python
  • Understanding of Data Lake/ Hadoop environment.
  • Strong discipline and time management to execute against defined timelines.
  • Ability to analyse business needs and translate them to user stories.
  • Good communication skills and ability to extract meaningful data to support data driven decisions.
  • Knowledge of Private Banking business, operating model & Wealth products.
