Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of the firm's computer systems, firewall, network and virtual servers
- Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and systems performances and monitoring
- Implement and manage user and network security
- Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing the impact of issues
- Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computing, Information Technology or a related discipline
- Minimum 3 years of system or network administration experience
- Experienced with administration of both Windows and Unix systems
- Working knowledge of virtualisation, VMWare or equivalent
- Experience in managing third party IT vendors
- IT certifications in Microsoft, Linux or other network related fields are a plus
