Description

Negotiations and fixing of charter parties. Secure and charter-out vessels under competitive terms and freight costs.

Analyse voyage P&L from the commencement of the voyage through to completion and ensure freight and demurrage are invoiced correctly and received in a timely manner.

Liaise with brokers with regards to freight market views/fixture, cargo lines-up and prospects.
Monitor and analyse shipping market trend relating to ship owning, chartering and freight levels.
Develop and maintain relationships with clients.

Liaise with the operations team and technical managers to ensure clear instructions and vessels' operational and economical performance are optimised.

Follow up with the Operations team from time to time for outstanding accounts/disputes.
Handle and report various aspects of chartering activities.
Any ad-hoc duties as and when assigned.


Requirements:
Degree and/or Diploma in Maritime Studies or similar disciplines.
Min 2-4 years of Shipping and/or tanker chartering experience (tanker experience preferred).Results-oriented and performance-driven.
Strong network of contacts within the chartering industry, including cargo owners, shipbrokers, and other stakeholders.
Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to make informed decisions under uncertainty.
Analytical mindset with the ability to assess market trends and risks effectively.
Comfortable with taking calculated risks to maximize business opportunities.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Understanding of international maritime regulations and commercial shipping practices.
