Job Overview:


The
Manager Communications, International is responsible for supporting the Director in managing Public Relations, external and internal communications across RBI and its brands (Burger King, Popeyes, Tim Hortons and Firehouse Subs) in APAC and affords the opportunity to strategically and proactively engage key internal and external stakeholders.

The position also includes media relations, brand communications, crisis and reputation management, corporate communications, and event management. The
Manager Communications, International reports directly to the Director Communications, RBI International. In addition, the position works with other functions within the organization including Marketing, Sustainability, Event and Legal.


Responsibilities:


  • Be part of the Communications Team in our Singapore office, building strong relationships with leaders across functions and with media, public relations agencies and other key stakeholders.
  • Lead endtoend communications initiatives for a variety of internal and external audiences, ensuring key message delivery, audience engagement, positive brand affinity, leadership credibility, effective transitions (Change Management) and positive flow of media coverage.
  • Tell our story and protect our image through planning, execution, and measurement across traditional and digital channels for RBI and its Brands.
  • Maintain and build current knowledge and standards of excellence in communications and public relations.
  • Support PR strategies across vast regions driving our brands' narrative aligned to marketing objectives.
  • Manage Franchisees and PR agency relationships to ensure goals and deliverables are being achieved and effectively integrated in marketing plans.
  • Develop and manage approvals for all media materials (pitches, news releases, visuals, etc.) in collaboration with franchisees, agency partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Drive PR measurement, coverage tracking and analysis of programs and initiatives. Provide recommendations that optimize coverage for future initiatives. Manage internal storytelling and connectivity around the brands' initiatives to help build awareness and create content and talking points to support leadership updates and presentations during townhalls, etc.
  • Support the Director in leading crisis management from understanding context through recommended approach and draft responses.
  • Manage Franchisee events and develop engaging presentations and scripts for brand conventions and Franchisees events, and coach on delivery methods and best practices.

Qualifications & skills:


  • Bachelor's / Master degree in communications, public relations or related experience.

At least 5 years of professional experience in Communications
:


  • Preferred experience in QSR, hospitality or FCMG. A combination of inhouse and agency experience is an asset.
  • Fluent in English, Mandarin will be an additional asset.
  • PowerPoint design and video editing skills are considered an asset.
  • Experience with Media reporting platforms would be a plus (e.g, Metawater).
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills with a strong executive presence to engage with senior leadership. (media impressions, number of articles, value price you would pay for coverage).
