What the role is

  • Achieve Community Chest's sustainable philanthropy and engagement goals, including mobilisation of donations and resources for the social service sector.

Achieve fund-raising outcomes through development of fundraising and partnership strategies, relationship building, collaboration and event management with various donor segments including corporates, individuals (high net worth individuals and mass individuals), family offices and foundations, companies in legacy and planned giving space, business organisations and internal NCSS stakeholders.

Deepen giving of donors and partners through donations and volunteerism. This would include promotion of Community Chest's causes, platforms and sustainable giving initiatives.


  • Manage and assign team members to perform relationship and engagement functions to enhance donors' experience and achieve fundraising targets through all existing platforms (e.g. outright donations, SHARE and Change for Charity programmes, engagement and fund-raising activities) for respective donor segments and specific accounts.
  • Propose new fund-raising strategies and approaches, cultivate and drive innovative and collaborative partnerships with ecosystem partners and donors to achieve the Group's philanthropic objectives.
  • Develop and implement engagement strategies to strengthen the engagement and relationship with donors, ensure regular and robust donor stewardship, effective communications, and strong account servicing by team members.
  • Monitor and track the monthly progress of donations and engagement by donor segments and accounts, including product offerings like SHARE.
  • Lead implementation of assigned workgroups and signature events, manage relevant Committee(s) and project budgets, and seek sponsorships to adhere to stipulated cost-efficiency ratios. This would include liaison and cultivating positive relationships with internal NCSS and PEG / Community Chest teams to achieve projects' outcomes.
  • Manage, measure and be accountable for the annual KPIs set for the team.
  • Responsible for financial governance and regulatory compliance of philanthropic partnerships.
  • Manage the team's operations, human resource and financial functions with effective solutioning.
  • Ensure compliance of integrity in matters of people, processes, procurement and relationships (vendors/suppliers/partners etc).
  • Any other duties as assigned by Directors that are aligned to NCSS and Community Chest's purposes.

  • Knowledge of the public service and social services is an added advantage
  • Basic data literacy with proficiency in preparing and analysing business spreadsheets and dashboards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office & digital marketing

Experience:


  • Minimum 5 years of management experience.
  • General management track record, People-PrivatePublic sector experience is an added advantage
