    Roles & Responsibilities

    Position Mission (responsibilities & expectations):-

    1. Proceed with M&A project in Asia consumer sector as a team member (exploring and analysing opportunities, negotiating with seller(s) as well as target companies etc) while collaborating with internal/external parties.
    2. Support DGM and team leaders to develop new businesses between SPAFF portfolio and Mitsui portfolio companies
    3. Support DGM and team leaders to develop and expand asset management business (real estate, infrastructure, data center) in Asian region.
    4. Manage and support affiliated companies in Asian countries which Mitsui has invested related to asset management business and private equity business.
    5. Expected to source and propose M&A deals that can achieve Mitsui's strategic rationale, leveraging `its business assets as a conglomerate (i.e. Mitsui seeks not solely financial returns but also strategic returns in its investments as business enterprise).
    6. Expected to learn a wide range of Mitsui's business lines and existing assets that can be leveraged in value-creation post investments.
    7. Expected to be not only professional of M&A transactions (from sourcing, executing to value-creation post investments), but also to become professional in creating new business and business collaboration.

    People Management (if applicable; incl. outside of MAP):-

    1. As a team member, working together with the global team
    2. Communicating well with other divisions as well as external parties.

    Geographical scope:-

    Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, India

    Key Responsibilities:-

    1. Proceed with M&A project in Asia consumer sector as a team member by collaborating internal/external parties
    2. Support DGM and team leaders to develop new businesses inside Mitsui in relation to the existing portfolio.
    3. Support DGM and team leaders to develop and expand asset management business (real estate, infrastructure, data center) in Asian region.
    4. Manage and support affiliated companies in Asian countries which Mitsui has invested related to asset management business and private equity business.
    5. To support GM/DGM to manage department operation and business operations

    Selection Criteria:-

    1. Bachelor's Degree.
    2. Minimum 5 years or relevant experience.
    3. Required to travel with 1-2 trips per month.
    4. Professional and broad knowledge of M&A (Valuation, negotiation, funding, investment structuring).
    5. Strong interpersonal skill of communication and negotiation between suppliers and users and other branch offices.
    6. Deep understanding of management of company (Accounting, tax, human resource, financing, internal regulation).
    7. Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
    8. Experience in principal investment and post investment management in operational company preferred.
    9. Experience in provate equity firm, investment bank preferred.
    10. Experience of business development including M&A in operational company preferred.
    11. Experience of management of investee company preferred.
    12. Eager to learn the conglomerate's business assets and to levarage them in making investments and value-creation post-investments.
