    Roles & Responsibilities

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    Finance & Admin duties


    • To handle daily accounting operational matters


    • To be responsible for full spectrum of accounts payable/receivable/GL


    • To prepare and process monthly GIRO payments and monthly costs allocation.


    • To prepare month-end and year-end closing of accounts and monitoring of fixed deposits.


    • To ensure proper, systematic and timely filing of records and documents for banking and governance.


    • To conduct periodic stocktaking on fixed assets and stock.


    • To facilitate annual accounting audit, internal audit and compliance works


    • To assist in grant and award applications To provide internal training and support to new staff in digital invoicing and other financial matters.


    • To assist to review and update financial policies and procedures, implement internal controls and routines to ensure compliance.


    • To assist in minutes writing for all-staff meeting up to twice yearly.


    • To assist in yearly insurance renewal and costs comparison.


    • To assist in ad hoc projects of the department or organisation to enhance operations.


    • To support the ED administratively whenever necessary

    Human Resources & Payroll Related Duties (Ad-hoc, if required)


    • To provide support for human resource and payroll, journal entries to ensure proper costs allocation.


    • To assist in preparing of budget and variance analysis for yearly payroll cost.


    • To assist HR for submission of Employees Income Tax Return to Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS).

    Miscellaneous duties


    • To provide support with the school's account when needed.


    • To cover the duties of the department staff during their absence.


    • Any other duties as required by the supervisor or the ED

    Requirements

    • Minimum Degree in Accountancy
    • Knowledge of Quickbooks Accounting System
    • At least 3 years of relevant working experiences
    • Has experience in the charity/non profit sector
    • Able to work independently and a good team player
    • Is organised and able to multi-task
    • Has an interest to learn sign language and gain knowledge in Deaf Culture
