Description

Infrastructure Implementation

• Active involvement in Security Infra project
• Work with vendor in the maintenance of data leakage prevention equipment, deep packet inspection capability and other security solutions
• Perform Vulnerability Assessment (VA) on proposed solutions
• Liaise with vendors to resolve VA issues

General Routine Maintenance

• Monitor status of network and security equipment
• Work with monthly reports provided by vendor on

o Performance

o Availability

o Usage

o Summary on Incidents & Service Requests

• Provide assistance in upgrade and patching of software/firmware etc.
• Track patch level of equipment
• Manage inventory and system versions
• Perform monthly backup and patching of equipment and configurations
• Develop and maintain installation, operations and configuration procedures
• Build and maintain an updated FAQ database
• Assist in monthly maintenance

Monitoring and support

• Monitor status and health of the equipment
• Perform basic troubleshooting and resolution on alerts from the Network Monitoring System
• Perform basic troubleshooting and resolution of issues escalated from the Support team
• Seek approval for service requests or any configuration changes.
• Log, track and document service requests, implementation and approval documents
• Co-ordinate and follow-up with vendors for support where necessary
• Provide sanitised logs to vendors for escalation where necessary
• Update support team on status of reported cases
• Highlight unresolved problems to the respective engineers
• Track and ensure proper resolution/closure of all cases.
