Established in 2009, the
NTU Chinese Medicine Clinic serves as a TCM Board approved teaching clinic for the programmes in Biomedical Sciences and Chinese Medicine at the School of Biological Sciences, College of Science.
We offer a range of services including acupuncture, cupping, tuina treatment massage for adults, and paediatric tuina, along with herbal medication.
Job Description:
- Collaborate with the Director of Chinese Medicine to establish and develop Bachelor and Master programs in Chinese Medicine, ensuring alignment with industry standards and educational objectives.
- Contribute to the development of projects aimed at enhancing the quality and relevance of TCM education, fostering innovation and continuous improvement within the programs.
- Deliver engaging lectures and tutorials for various TCM courses.
- Develop course materials, lesson plans, and assessments to support effective learning outcomes.
- Organize and participate in events to promote TCM and its benefits to the public, contributing to community education and outreach efforts.
- Create educational materials and resources to increase awareness and understanding of TCM healthcare, catering to diverse audiences and promoting informed decisionmaking.
- Assist the Director in coordinating and overseeing continuous education programs for TCM practitioners.
- Supervise clinical internships for TCM students, ensuring adherence to learning objectives and ethical standards.
- Serve as a clinical instructor, providing guidance and mentorship to junior physicians in the clinic.
- Conduct fair and comprehensive examinations to assess the competency of junior physicians.
- Develop and implement training programs to ensure incoming physicians are prepared for independent practice.
- Provide mentoring and support to help physicians transition smoothly into their roles.
- Develop and administer examinations in a manner that is fair, transparent, and consistent.
- Ensure that exam papers accurately assess students' understanding and mastery of TCM concepts.
Requirements:
- Doctoral degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)
- Knowledge of curriculum development, educational methodologies, and assessment techniques.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards in higher education.
- Understanding of academic administration and student services processes.
- Proficiency in data analysis and computer skills.
- Minimum of 10 years of teaching and practice experience in Chinese Medicine.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in student administration.
- Ability to provide vision, direction, and guidance in advancing Chinese Medicine education and programs.
- Capacity to respond effectively to changing circumstances, emerging trends, and evolving regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, faculty, students, and external partners to achieve common goals.
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards, academic integrity, and professional conduct.
- Willingness to explore innovative approaches to curriculum development, teaching methodologies, and program enhancement.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, fostering effective collaboration and engagement.
