Description
Responsibilities:
1.
Technical Leadership:
- Provide strategic direction and technical guidance to multiple engineering teams.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation within the organization.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to align engineering efforts with overall business goals.
2.
Team Management and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
- Define and implement effective engineering processes, workflows, and standards to ensure consistent and highquality output.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and support career development plans for team members.
3.
Project Management:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex engineering projects within specified timelines and budget.
- Identify and mitigate risks, resolving issues and roadblocks that may arise during project development.
- Foster a culture of agility and adaptability, enabling teams to respond effectively to changing project requirements.
4.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Communicate effectively with executive leadership, providing updates on project status, technical challenges, and resource needs.
- Facilitate crossteam communication and knowledge sharing to ensure a unified approach to problemsolving.
5.
Quality Assurance:
- Drive a commitment to engineering excellence, ensuring the delivery of reliable, scalable, and maintainable software products.
- Establish and maintain best practices for code reviews, testing, and deployment processes.
6.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains, driving the evolution of the engineering organization.
- Encourage a culture of innovation, encouraging engineers to propose and experiment with new ideas and technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. MBA is a plus.
- Proven experience (8+ years) in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role (Director/Manager).
- Strong background in software development, architecture, and design, with expertise in one or more programming languages and technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage highperforming engineering teams, with a focus on mentorship and career development.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize, delegate, and deliver results under tight deadlines.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to align engineering efforts with broader business objectives.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and a commitment to fostering an agile development culture.
- Track record of successfully delivering software products through the entire development lifecycle.
