Description

Represent Technical Support on the Virtual Site Operating Team for the Tuas site including the following activities: review/initiation of API site Track-Wise change control activities, support day-to-day manufacturing at the Tuas site, support External Supply initiatives, lead/review investigations and proposed CAPAs, and support transfers of new APIs into the site.

Contribute a range of highly innovative chemistry and process development ideas to support global API process development and cost improvement projects.
Demonstrate problem solving to deliver chemistry and process understanding.
Investigate new technologies and process development approaches to bring added value to the API Network.
Collaborate with Technical Support team and stakeholders to maintain API supply throughout the Network.

Requirements:

PhD. in Organic Chemistry with a minimum of 5 years of experience, Master's Degree in with 5 to 10 years of experience, or bachelor's degree with greater than 15 years or commensurate experience in the pharmaceutical industry within a process development role.

Experience
-
Knowledge of modern synthetic chemistry methodology, including aspects of asymmetric synthesis, green chemistry, catalysis, and physical organic chemistry as it relates to reaction mechanism is expected
:

Extensive knowledge and experience of synthetic chemistry, analytical chemistry, reaction engineering, modeling, process development and scale-up principles, process validation and technical transfers. A strong background in impurity isolation and identification to support the development and troubleshooting of chemical processes.
