Responsibilities:
1. Transportation of Goods: Delivering goods or packages to customers or businesses in a timely manner, following designated routes and schedules.
2. Loading and Unloading: Safely loading items onto the delivery vehicle, ensuring that they are secure during transit. Upon arrival, unloading goods and carefully delivering them to the designated location.
3. Route Planning: Planning delivery routes efficiently to minimize time and fuel costs while ensuring timely deliveries.
4. Vehicle Maintenance: Conducting routine checks on the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in proper working condition. This includes checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and overall vehicle safety.
5. Customer Interaction: Providing excellent customer service by being courteous, professional, and responsive to customer inquiries or concerns.
6. Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, including receipts, delivery confirmations, and any incidents that may occur during transportation.
7. Adhering to Traffic Laws and Regulations: Following all traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe driving practices and avoid accidents or fines.
8. Communication: Communicating effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, or customers regarding delivery status, delays, or any issues that may arise during transportation.
9. Problem-Solving: Addressing any issues or obstacles that may arise during deliveries, such as traffic congestion, vehicle breakdowns, or incorrect addresses.
10. Flexibility: Being flexible with work hours and schedules, as delivery drivers may need to work evenings, weekends, or holidays to accommodate customer demand.
11. Physical Stamina: Possessing the physical stamina necessary to lift and move heavy packages or goods repeatedly throughout the workday.
12. Safety: Prioritizing safety at all times, both for oneself and others on the road, by adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
