Description
Clean and maintain guest rooms, guest corridor and service pantry to the standards set by the hotel.

Restock service areas and pantries with linen, amenities and other service requirements.


Room Attendants will be required to conduct their duties in a courteous, safe and efficient manner, in accordance with the hotel's policies and procedures, ensuring that a high level of service is maintained.


Provide cleaning service to guestrooms and respond to guest's requests ensuring maximum guest satisfaction in accordance to Hotel established standards.

Make sure that all rooms are well supplied and ready on time.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working knowledge of applicable sanitation standards.
  • Clean guest rooms according to established standards, including making of beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, mopping.
  • Organize and stock cleaning cart and organize linen pantries on floors assigned.
  • Perform cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned and in order to adhere to health standards.
  • Collect daily allocations of rooms and keys. Ensure worksheet is kept up to date throughout shift, and keys are signed out & kept securely.
  • Collect rubbish from floors and dispose correctly.
  • Gather and remove soiled linen and other materials from the floors.
  • Replace guest room amenities.
  • Make up Extra Bed and Baby Cot.
  • Report maintenance issues to Housekeeping Supervisors.
  • Report any odd occurrences, mattress cleaning requirements, pest infestations, etc. to Housekeeping Supervisors.
  • Anticipate guest's needs through observation and offer prompt.
  • Clean and maintain corridors, service areas and pantries.
  • Perform other unexpected duties as requested e.g. cleaning spills; follow up on guest requests.
  • Assist other Housekeeping Associates in maintaining a clean and organized work and public areas.
  • Ensure that rooms are cleaned before the guest returns.
  • To provide a courteous and professional service at all times.
  • To maintain good working relationship with your own colleagues, and all other departments.
  • Take extreme care with personal grooming in order to maintain a consistently high level of professional appearance.
  • To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Greets and courteous to all guest and colleagues, uses eye contact and always offers assistance.
  • Take initiative and act quickly to deliver projects in a professional manner.
  • Maintain an organized system to ensure that processes are getting completed on time.
  • Ensure that rooms are cleaned before the guest returns.
