Description

The Geotechnical Design Engineer shall have the opportunity to:

carry out various types of geotechnical design and analysis
deep excavations, shafts, tunnels (built using tunnel boring machines), tunnels (built by mining), slopes, foundations, etc

- work out design soil parameters from results of in-situ soil tests and laboratory tests conducted for ground investigations
- carry out appropriate design of structural nature where required

Besides the above works, the Geotechnical Design Engineer will have exposure to carry out design sketches, manage drafting works, carry out design submissions/submissions to Authorities, and, to coordinate with clients, contractors, project teams, etc.

Requirements:

Possess a Civil and Structural Engineering degree recognized by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore.
Prior working experiences in geotechnical engineering projects is preferred.
Familiar with civil/geotechnical engineering designs in local Codes, Regulations and requirements, and Eurocodes.
Well verse in geotechnical design software, e.g. Plaxis, etc.
Familiar with authority submission requirements for civil and geotechnical works.
Conversant with statutory code and requirements for site supervision, quality control procedure and construction administration.
Able to manage projects independently and work under tight datelines.
