    Roles & Responsibilities

    THE ROLE:

    A Program Manager in NPI Program Management team plays an integral role of planning, steering and delivering the timely rollout of our latest products linked to AMD as well as our customers' success. You will have every opportunity to deliver the cutting-edge technology/innovation of our new products, drive the activities across the entire New Product Introduction cycle and contribute to AMD business while growing yourself along the career path of Program Management.

    THE PERSON:

    A detail-oriented person embracing constant challenges, understanding the dynamics of New Product Introduction environment, able to connect the dots from Engineering/Operational perspective and having the solid background in Semiconductor industry.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Understand overall program and ensure functional organizational goals meet requirements.
    • Establish and maintain outstanding peer networks with functional group leaders and staff across Design, Silicon Technology Development, Product/Assembly Engineering, Supply Chain and Operation teams.
    • Drive NPI rollouts based on POR outlining overall schedule of the key activities from Tape-Out of the new silicon, Package Development, Product Validation, Characterization, Qualification, to Production Release of targeted SKUs.
    • Steer timely and accurate execution based on the established procedures/processes to deliver successful NPI rollouts as well as seamless transfer for volume production.
    • Manage risks and escalate issues with options to mitigate the impact on NPI program presented and adjust plans to achieve organizational buy-in of change request in a timely manner.
    • Be the focal point for effective alignment and communication with the stakeholders including running the cross-functional sync-ups, capturing meeting notes/actions, driving open items to closure, relaying the essential info to functional groups and compiling/presenting regular updates to management.
    • Plan and execute the timely delivery of Internal Demand for Eng. material (i.e. packaged parts, piece parts, and wafers) to enable critical NPI activities such as VNC, Characterization and Qualification.

    PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

    • Able to perform complex work involving new or constantly changing difficult problems.
    • Demonstrate independence in completing projects on schedule and succeeding when receiving general guidance on new assignments.
    • Have a good track record to achieve results through others and should have excellent communication and related skills working within teams and across organizational boundaries.
    • Possess both depth and breadth in delivering complex programs that involve integrated deliverables among multiple functional organizations, preferably silicon products at 16nm or below geometries.
    • An engineering degree or supply chain related degree with the demonstration of competency in several of the following areas is preferred: Semiconductor Manufacturing Flow, Foundry Engineering, Product Engineering, ATE Test Solution Development, Silicon Verification, Characterization, Package & Assembly Engineering and Product Qualification.
    • In lieu of Project management experience, a candidate could have technical or project lead experience in Semiconductor Product Testing or Operation Engineering field with emphasis on new product introduction.
    • Have the ability to learn on the job and outstanding communication skills in English, both oral and written are a must.
    • Highly skilled in Microsoft Office365, JIRA and other collaboration tools.

    ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Supply Chain related field with 6+ plus years of relevant industry experience or Master's Degree in Engineering/Supply Chain related field with 4+ years of relevant industry experience.
