Job Purpose


As a Business Strategy and Management (Associate) in the Group Data Office, you will play a critical role in supporting the development, implementation, management and communication of the strategy for Chief Data Office.

Reporting to the COO for Chief Data Office and supporting the Chief Data Officer directly, this role provides learning opportunities for a self-starter to participate in managing a global function.


Responsibilities:


  • Facilitate the annual strategic planning and budgeting, ensuring that the Group's objectives are clearly defined and aligned with the overall business plan and financial targets.
  • Tracking CDO's progress against plan, targets or industry trends and facilitate the management team to readjust course.
  • Develop and maintain presentations, reports or other media to communicate our strategy, thoughtleadership, achievements, proposals, and progress to senior stakeholder and governance committees.
  • Plan and drive strategic changes to transform the way we operate, including but not limited to:
  • People: design and implement competency initiatives to ensure skill / capability availability to deliver CDO objectives
  • Process: Analyze business processes and identify areas for improvement, proposing solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Operating model: define and implement operating model changes to ensure efficient delivery of the book of work.
  • Develop and execute an internal communication strategy to drive engagement and change, tying together multiple communication touchpoints (e.g., committees, announcements, newsletter, townhalls, intranet site, knowledge base, etc.)
  • Provide executive support and act as a sounding board/advisor to the Chief Data Officer on key activities and issues.
  • Lead business management activities including managing vendors, human resources, governance, rewards and recognition programs, culture and training development etc.

Qualification & Core Skills requirement

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education
  • Selfstarter with minimum 4 years of experience from either consulting background or inhouse business management / strategy team
  • Excellent MS Powerpoint and multimedia skills
  • Understanding of financial services and technical disciplines including data, analytics and AI
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner
  • Experience in developing and implementing business plans and managing projects from start to finish
  • Experience with project management with ability to handle ambiguity and rally for change.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment, with a focus on delivering highquality results in a timely manner.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Experience in handling ambiguity and uncertainty, with the ability to navigate complex situations and make informed decisions.
