Job Description
The Financial Analyst supports VP IT, VP Legal and Director FP&A for Thermofisher's APJ business. The role is responsible for Operating Expenses management and control as well as delivering productivity targets for the APJ region. The role also has direct business partnering responsibilities with the VPs for IT and Legal in the region.

He / She works extensively with APJ & Country Function leaders and Country FP&A teams across APAC in terms of finance planning and analytical workstreams including:

Monthly Forecast
Monthly / Quarterly Business Reviews
Annual Operating Plan
5 Year Strategic Plan
Strategic Initiatives and Projects Evaluation
Power BI Analytics Capability Development

Job Requirement:

Lead and control APJ Operating Expenses to understand expense trends, identify risk and opportunities
Deliver Productivity Targets for APJ
Business partnering with Corporate IT and Corporate Legal Functions for strategic decisionmaking
Responsible for Capital Appropriation Requests and Capital budget management and consolidation
Provide timely analysis on spends in monthly financial reviews (vs Plan & prior periods)
Contribute as a Team Member on Consolidation, Analysis and Reporting of Spends /Strategic Plans/Annual Operating Plans
Develop Power BI Analytics to drive insightful and actionable analysis
Coordinate and collate Plan activities and information from Country FP&A teams and business
Standardize Reporting Deliverables and communicate with Country FP&A teams
Streamline processes and improve operational efficiency

Qualifications/Requirement:

Bachelor's Degree in accountancy, Finance or equivalent
CPA or MBA in Finance is preferred
7 to 8 years of relevant experience in FP&A in an MNC environment
Experience of leading team of direct reports is an advantage
Strong in business partnering
Good analytical skills and highly proficient in excel
Capability of multitasking and prioritizing projects/tasks
Comfortable with communicating with senior management
Good interpersonal skills
Selfmotivated, ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
Result oriented, able to collaborate with multifunction teams and drive for results
