Procurement Assistant - Singapore - ORIGIN SLEEP PTE. LTD.
Description
Responsibilities:
- Assist in identifying potential suppliers and maintaining a comprehensive supplier database
- Conduct market research to find new suppliers and evaluate their capabilities, prices, and product quality
- Collaborate with the procurement team to source materials, products, or services needed for various projects
- Liaise with potential suppliers and drive cost negotiations while maintaining quality standards
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely deliveries of materials or products
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of purchases and pricing
- Creating cost reports on procurement activities
- Provide administrative support to the procurement department as and when needed
Requirements:
- Strong critical and analytical thinking
- Positive attitude, meticulous, and excellent organizational skills
- Knowledge in logistics or shipping coordination
- Ability to write and converse in Mandarin due to having to converse with vendors from China
- Ability to effectively communicate with external stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced environment
- Prior experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management is preferred
