    Roles & Responsibilities

    Job Description:

    1. Driving: Operate lorries to transport goods from one location to another, adhering to local traffic laws and regulations.
    2. Delivery and Pick-up: Pick up goods from suppliers and deliver them to various destinations, ensuring timely and safe deliveries.
    3. Route Planning: Plan the most efficient and safe routes for each delivery, considering factors such as distance, traffic conditions, and delivery schedules.
    4. Handling: Load and unload material carefully and securely, ensuring that the goods are properly secured to prevent damage during transit.
    5. Vehicle Inspection: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the lorry to check for any mechanical issues or potential problems.
    6. Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as checking oil levels, tire pressure, and fuel levels, and report any significant mechanical issues to the appropriate authorities.
    7. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of each trip, including delivery times, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that may occur during transportation.
    8. Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and regulations, including wearing the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and securing loads according to established guidelines.
    9. Customer Service: Interact with customers and clients during deliveries, ensuring a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
    10. Communication: Maintain regular communication with dispatchers and coordinators, updating them on the status of deliveries and any potential delays.

    Requirements:

    • A valid Class 4/3 driver's license .
    • Good driving record and adherence to safety standards.
    • Able to work on weekends.
    • Basic mechanical knowledge to handle minor vehicle issues.
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work independently and handle various challenges on the road.
