Description
Drive the Editorial Process:
- Lead the content creation process from ideation to publication, overseeing the entire lifecycle of content development.
- Work closely with writers and other stakeholders to generate creative ideas that resonate with the target audience and align with the company's objectives.
- Establish and maintain a structured editorial calendar to ensure timely delivery of content.
Edit and Review Content:
- Edit and review various types of content, such as articles, blog posts, reports, and other written materials, to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Identify and rectify grammatical errors, spelling mistakes, and inconsistencies in tone and style.
Collaborate with Writers:
- Foster a collaborative relationship with writers by providing constructive feedback to enhance the quality of their work.
- Ensure that content creators understand and adhere to the brand voice, style, and preferences of the target audience.
- Work with writers to address any issues or concerns and provide guidance on improving their writing skills.
Implement Editorial Standards:
- Establish and enforce editorial standards, style guides, and best practices to maintain consistency and coherence across all content produced by the company.
- Conduct regular training sessions to keep content creators updated on evolving industry trends and content creation techniques.
Improve Written Content:
- Provide feedback and guidance to Content Producers, ensuring that all content is commercially focused and aligns with Luxury Escapes' tone of voice, style guide, and editorial standards.
- Collaborate with Content Producers to enhance the overall quality and effectiveness of written content.
Write Commercial Copy:
- Generate compelling and commercially focused copy for various channels, including eDMs, landing pages, ancillary campaigns, radio scripts, etc.
- Ensure that the written content effectively promotes the company's products and services while maintaining consistency in tone and style.
Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams:
- Work closely with crossfunctional teams, including marketing, design, and product, to ensure a seamless and integrated approach to content creation.
- Align content strategies with broader business objectives and contribute to the development of a cohesive brand narrative.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field, or a post graduate qualification in Journalism.
- Proven experience 10+ years in editing and developing commercial content, with 5+ years in a travel context
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Indepth knowledge of editorial standards, style guides, and best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fastpaced, deadlinedriven environment.
