The LSMG SLS role will form part of the wider sales team(s) within Cognizant Life Sciences.

The position is responsible for relationship management & developing the business that Cognizant LSMG does across all technologies in the manufacturing space for that client.

The LSMG SLS role is the single point of contact for clients manufacturing sites across the globe.

The role will work with the wider set of Cognizant service offerings to develop the full breath of delivery across all service lines.


Main Responsibilities

  • Responsible for creating and executing account growth plans for the client, including cross selling of new products and extension of relationship into new areas / facilities.
  • Ensure Business volume and margin targets are met or exceeded
  • Technical SME for Manufacturing IT/OT and transformation solutions
  • Ensure accurate forecasting
  • Work with the CP team to ensuring that the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system is fully updated at all times
  • Develop critical project pursuit strategies
  • Accountable for the review and negotiation of customer contracts
  • Coordinate with the Lead Team and Global Sales colleagues regarding global customer strategy and engagement
  • Working closely with operations, proactively manage account relationship, ensuring regular sponsor meetings are attended, and take ownership of meeting actions
  • Understand and be able to articulate the Cognizant offerings and analyze customer needs to determine requirements and describe proposed solutions.
  • Be able to articulate project delivery methodology and operational information systems
  • Oversee the generation of technical and commercial proposals
  • Support the resourcing strategy for clients and articulate engineering resource requirements to Engineering Managers and internal recruiters
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and cognizant value is monitored and managed
  • With support from Marketing will be responsible for lead generation and qualification as needed. Support marketing events within the country and regions as required
  • Ownership and responsibility for proposal delivery and compliance. Generation of proposal is supported by the regional proposals group
  • Responsible for commercial negotiations with clients
  • Ensuring that the signed contract/order is received, checked and filed correctly. Ensure internal systems are updated as required
  • Ensuring that the project is handed over to the operations group for execution

Requirements:


  • Relevant degree such as science, engineering, computing or similar with 510 years + experience
  • In depth expert knowledge of Life Science manufacturing and its diverse range of manufacturing Digital, MES and process automation systems.
  • Indepth Knowledge of LS I4.0 solutions.
  • Experience in interfacing and interacting with key stakeholders up to and including the C
  • Suite
  • Ability to sell at the senior management & executive levels, and articulate the value of Delta V, Rockwell Automation, Siemens, Schneider OSI PI products, MES solutions & services in a manner which demonstrate tangible economic value
  • Has worked on a life Science manufacturing facility in a management role with a good understanding of the manufacturing environment
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to interface with operational, capital projects and senior management within the organization
  • Experience as a service provider, with a good business acumen
  • Strong overall technical knowledge of Level 1,2 & 3 Systems and infrastructure
  • Strong understanding of the regulatory aspects of the Life Science manufacturing
  • Deep Understanding on all Project Lifecycle phases and tasks
  • Strong Project Management Skills (Scope, Cost, Schedule Management)
