Job Summary:

The Science Lab Technician plays a crucial role in providing support to students' experiments.

This position involves the efficient operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment, preparation of materials for experiments, and collaboration with researchers to ensure the smooth functioning of the laboratory.

Maintain general cleanliness and upkeep of the science laboratories.
Prepare teaching resources (including tools/equipment/materials/apparatus and any learning or training kits) in collaboration with teachers.
Manage inventory to maintain sufficient stock and procure of new equipment/materials/components when necessary while tracking the budget and resources utilisation in the Science Laboratories
Demonstrate competence in use of equipment/machines as well as simple troubleshooting.
Conduct specific experiments as per HOD's instructions.
Conduct monthly store stock take for scientific equipment/material/apparatus.
Track faulty equipment/materials that need to be replaced.
Maintain a record of the loaning out of equipment/materials/apparatus to teachers.
Update database of science resources which include diagrams and pictures.
Any other duties assigned by HOD and school leaders.
