    Senior Life Pricing Actuary Company Munich Re Location Singapore , Singapore

    Munich Re Singapore Branch, part of Munich Re the world's largest reinsurer, is looking for a motivated, enthusiastic professional who is interested in technical Actuarial work, client interaction and enjoys the challenge of working in multiple markets and being part of a diverse team.

    You will cover all aspect of pricing for Individual Life business for Munich Re Singapore for Singapore, Malaysia and HNW business from Hong Kong, Bermuda and Singapore. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, this pricing sub-team consist of 4 individuals, which includes the team lead (this role), 2 pricing actuaries and 1 actuarial analyst.

    Your Job
    • Lead the delivery of pricing initiatives for Individual Life product for HNW, Singapore and Malaysia, ensuring compliance with internal standards, proper risk assessment and best practice
    • Manage resource prioritisations, delivery timeline and stakeholder
    • Collaborate with client managers, underwriters and client to develop new life insurance products/benefits with consideration of marketability and risk management
    • Manage the end-to-end process of getting approval for quotes that exceed pricing authority (e.g. discussion with Regional Pricing, Underwriting and Claims team)
    • Develop the pricing sub-team, providing team members with clear guidance and imparting technical knowledge to the team.
    • Support client managers in client delivery and communications (e.g. supporting product and pricing queries from clients)
    • Maintain and develop pricing tools, models and assisting on terms of trade
    Your Profile
    • Qualified Actuary (FIA, FSA or FIAA) with at least 5 years' experience post qualification.
    • At least 10 years of experience in Pricing, especially in critical illness and HNW products in Singapore or Hong Kong.
    • Ability to work independently, and manage some team members. Ability to take the lead on projects and provide coaching to more junior team members.
    • Excellent command of English - both written and verbal.
    • Good communication skills with the ability to negotiate, present and share ideas with colleagues and clients.
    • Good understanding of reinsurance knowledge.
