Purpose/Objective of the job:


Based in Singapore, the Asia Cluster Learning Lead will oversee the development & implementation of the Asia Cluster learning strategy, continuously aligning it to the ever-evolving business & customer environment.

Working collaboratively with stakeholders, this role will develop agile & adaptive learning solutions enabling field force effectiveness within an omni channel environment.

Driving cross market training efficiencies, you will evolve Asia Cluster to be a strong collaborative learning culture, leveraging resources from WW Learning Centre of Excellence (CoE) & international markets.

Asia Cluster markets include Hong Kong, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia & Singapore


Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning (35%)

  • Works as a strategic business partner across Asia Cluster commercial organisation to understand the brand strategy & field force effectiveness drivers for successful implementation
  • Develops a compelling vision and strategy for the Asia Cluster aligning to business priorities
  • Collaborates with the CoE & international markets on product launch initiatives, leveraging training resources for cross market use.
  • Drives Asia Cluster training efficiencies by leveraging existing resources & identifies solutions that simplify & centralize access to these.
  • Supports & facilitates Asia Cluster markets to localise & integrate global field force & field leadership capability models.
  • Drives evolving skills development supporting new 'go to market' customer engagement models & Omni-Channel working, aligning to the dynamic business & customer environments
  • Builds a collaborative culture across the Asia Training organisation to enhance opportunities to share resources, experiences & to capture & leverage innovative ideas
  • Develops and monitors metrics for ongoing evaluation of learner & business needs at a local market & Cluster level ensuring continuous value to the learner & ultimately the business
  • Ensures ongoing analysis of field training needs based on current and future requirements of the business and evolving internal/external environment
  • Coordinates training delivery with internal & external partners as needed

Program Execution (30%)

  • Provides high quality and timely implementation of product launch & field capability learning programs, course correcting to meet evolving business needs
  • Identifies opportunities for Asia Cluster cross market learning initiatives where a number of markets can mutually benefit from enriched learning experiences
  • Drives multiplatform learning approach in alignment with BMS digital training resources & capabilities
  • Ensures adherence to Medical, Regulatory, Legal standards and guidelines, copyright laws, operational guidelines, and Code of Conduct while developing & executing training content
  • Supports appropriate tracking and documentation of training in accordance with company policy and local regulations

Matrix Engagement (35%)

  • Proactively engages with key stakeholders including sales, marketing, medical & omnichannel leads to determine current and future learning needs and integrates into training strategy.
  • Robust partnership working with CoE, ensuring alignment to WW product & field capability programs
  • Coordinates training content development & delivery with matrix partners, as required

Skills and Knowledge Requirements:


  • BA/BS degree level
  • Be a good communicator using English
  • Demonstrable leadership ability to partner with key stakeholders to implement innovative learning solutions, training efficiencies & drive positive change
  • Experience of engaging and managing diverse internal stakeholders
  • Ability to prioritize business needs and make timely decisions based on available data
  • Proactive and creative strategic thinking to identify and address current and future challenges
  • Demonstrable experience in training preferably within a pharma company environment or similar commercial environment
  • Proven ability to present to and influence senior leaders
  • Demonstrated strength in facilitating discussions, presenting information and resolving issues
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multiple matrix teams to achieve business objectives
  • Experience in successfully implementing a global model at the market level desirable
