Opportunity

DSTA's Information Programme Centre (Info PC) develops software solutions to defend against information threats propagating on online platforms, such as disinformation, deep fakes and terrorist propaganda.

We are looking for motivated individuals to join us to develop solutions to sense

The role will require you to:

Work closely with users and project team to design, develop, test, and iterate software solutions in a fast-paced environment, adapting solution with emerging requirements in the fast-moving online space.
Deliver usercentric software in a datarich environment, harnessing data analytics and AI/ML technologies in an agile manner to support dynamic and missioncritical operations.
Work closely with other supporting teams (e.g. infrastructure team) in the course of project delivery.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science or related field, or relevant technical experience.
Software engineering experience in Java, C++ or another objectoriented language.
Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

Fluent in GIT source code control.
Fluent in software design, code modularity and maintainability.
Experience in one of more of the following:
Web technologies and languages e.g. React, JavaScript, Typescript, Node, Redux
Containerisation technologies e.g. Docker and Kubernetes
Stream processing technologies e.g. Kafka
Graph databases e.g. Neo4j
Applied Machine Learning for Computer Vision or Natural Language Processing
