Roles & ResponsibilitiesTenure: 3-6 months (Full Time)
Promote social mobility and development through social cohesion in the community. Help clients manage life challenges and achieve self-reliance. Work with the community to raise their capacity to cope with circumstances for improved social functioning and well-being. Responsible for ensuring operational and governance efficiency through supervision and evaluation.
Responsibilities:
Casework
• Establish rapport and build professional relationships with clients and significant others (e.g. family, caregivers, etc.)

• Identify and clarify the key issues to the problem situation, gather relevant information from clients and conduct needs and intake assessment to assess and identify severity, key risks and protective factors for intervention
Group Work
• Assist in the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of group work and provide recommendations for consideration
• Assist in therapeutic groups that aim to develop target groups of clients
Community Work
• Assist in the conduct of environmental scanning and assessment of community needs through data collection and the conduct of basic analysis (e.g. collation of social data, conducting interviews or surveys, community mapping, analysis of social trends, etc.)
• Ability to build and negotiate collaborations/ partnerships with stakeholders in the social sector for community development and re-integration
Corporate Governance
• Consolidation of management reports/ documents to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Ensure that work is being carried out in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and guidelines
Operational Efficiency
• Highlight areas of enhancement and provide inputs to improve the operational efficiency and quality of social service provided
• Recommend service delivery improvements to senior management
• Delivery of services to ensure that they adhere to service standards, performance indicators and operating guidelines
