    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    Overview/Scope:

    PSA BDP Trade Management is currently in the process of expanding its business presence in Asia, and an exciting opportunity has emerged within our EPICenter located in Malaysia. We are actively seeking individuals to join our team in the role of FTA Specialist. In this capacity, the selected will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance and maximizing benefits for our clients engaged in international trade. Your expertise will be crucial in navigating and leveraging various FTAs to optimize the movement of goods while minimizing duties and taxes.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of products to determine eligibility for preferential tariff treatment under various FTAs.
  • Experience working with Manufacturing Cost Statements using BOM data for qualification purposes to obtain Preferential COs.
  • Familiarity with RVC, CTH and CTSH rules.
  • Liaise with vendors to obtain necessary documentation, including certificates of origin, to support FTA qualification processes.
  • Maintain open communication channels with vendors to address queries and ensure timely submission of required documents.
  • Work closely with the Trade Management Services team to support FTA qualification analyses for client shipments.
  • Ensure all FTA-related documentation is organized, accurate, and filed appropriately.
  • Assist in the preparation of compliance-related documents.

    Desired Abilities and Capabilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, International Trade, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of international trade concepts and FTA principles.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with vendors and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and ability to adapt to trade management software.
  • Ability to converse, read and write in Chinese is a plus.
