SUMMARY:

Newly created role to be based in Singapore office, you will assist the Head of Compliance in raising awareness and promoting compliance within all applicable laws, regulations and international trade sanctions with Asia Pacific.

THE ROLE:

Identify and propose solutions to mitigate legal and compliance risks, i.e., trade sanctions, anti-bribery and corruption, antitrust and anti-market manipulation.

Follow up on changes in international trade laws, regulations and sanctions
Create, maintain and update compliance procedures and registers
Implement compliance policies and procedures (KYC, trade sanctions, business partners vetting, anti-bribery and corruption, anti-market manipulation, etc.)
Develop training materials
Perform KYC / Due Diligence reviews on trading counterparties
Interact with counterparties on KYC related topics such as documentation collection;
Participate in periodic Compliance Reviews
Perform and support of compliance reviews and audits
Prepare ad hoc reporting to Top Management
Perform other tasks as delegated by Head of Compliance.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's Degree in Law/ Business/ Finance
5-8 years of compliance/ KYC experience in Commodity Trading sector and /or Bank focusing in commodity trading sector.
Proficient in Mandarin (oral & written) to work with Chinese counterparties
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
Strong organizational skills and time management
