Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the fire protection team, offering technical guidance, support, and mentorship as necessary.
• Develop and implement fire protection strategies, standards, and policies in line with industry regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments and contractors to create fire protection plans meeting project requirements.
• Ensure all fire protection systems within the facilities are in good working condition. Conduct regular inspections and testing to ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
• Design and execute fire safety training programs for facility staff and workers.
• Stay abreast of developments in fire protection systems, codes, and standards. Ensure the team remains updated on best practices.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies, fire departments, and other stakeholders to guarantee compliance with codes and regulations.
• Provide technical support to project teams, contractors, and other stakeholders as needed.
• Oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of fire protection systems.
• Develop and monitor budgets, providing regular reports to the Director of Facilities Management.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and currency of all project documentation.
• Manage client relationships effectively.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Facilities, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Preferably with a minimum of 3 or 5 years of experience in fire protection or facilities management, with a focus on fire protection.
• Strong knowledge of fire protection systems, principles, codes, and standards is advantageous.
• Experience in managing and leading a team of engineers and technicians.
• Strong project management skills, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills, able to identify and develop creative solutions.
