Job Summary
To direct the Next Tier (NT) (cross business teams) at BD India and achieve the deliverables in the NT segment as per Business plan for the BD India.
Develop a strategic plan to promote revenue, growth and profitability for the NT segment for Medication Delivery Systems Business Unit and Specimen Management business unit.
Job Description:
- To lead the strategy formulation and approach to NT market, which includes the Sales and Marketing of NT Business. The strategy would broadly include product, market, competition, people etc. for the NT Market.
- Build the framework for the sales organization within which people would find direction and prioritization for their work, and hence, perform as per the expected achievement and productivity levels.
- The position is expected to lead from the front and demonstrate high performance in a very collaborative manner by working with different stakeholders across four different business verticals.
- The key focus of the initiative is in midtier healthcare segment including Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Pathology Labs, Diagnostics Centres / Labs and Retail pharmacies. In this context, the position will play a lead role in building an efficient 'GTM' Model to optimise customer reach, devise and execute market development initiatives and drive profitable revenue growth from this segment.
- To play a lead role in building the sales organization, this includes people development, setting up and establishing systems & processes as well as settingup performance benchmarks.
- To oversee the constant monitoring of competitive activities, trends and events in the market, with a view to ensure a highly proactive management on business opportunities and hence market leadership.
- Steer consumer understanding through market research, incorporating insights from the research analysis into the marketing plans and continuously observing competition, both direct and indirect.
- The position would also contribute to overall management of the company.
- Leading the effort to develop new markets and new market segments for the company in the region.
Requirements:
- MBA with a graduate degree
- A minimum 12 years of Sales and Marketing experience in medical devices or pharmaceutical sales and with recent national leadership role in the healthcare industry.
- People leadership experience
- Experience in setting direction and providing effective solutions and initiatives to manage a growing industry/market segment
- Extensive knowledge of Indian healthcare market, practices, channel, and distributor management
- Proven experience in managing P&L for a business
- Strong business acumen and result oriented
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skill
- Willingness to travel
- Ability to work well in a matrix organization
