    Description

    We are looking for a Finance Manager to join a charity.

    Objective: To manage financial policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reports and records in accordance with charity governance requirements.

    Duties :

    • Manage the creation, improvement and implementation of financial policies and procedures for the organization in line with non-profit governance requirements.
    • Oversee the routine generation of timely and accurate internal and external financial reports, including monthly and annual financial statements.
    • Provide financial analyses, reports and forecasts to management.
    • Advise management in financial decision-making and systems development and improvement.
    • Oversee the accuracy of the organizational accounting records and maintain the chart of accounts.
    • Establish and monitor adequate internal controls and process improvement
    • Monitor security of organization's financial assets.
    • Manage month-end closings and bank reconciliations.
    • Support the annual budget and forecasting preparation process
    • Manage the employee expense reports review process.
    • Direct completion of the annual financial audit and internal audit.
    • Work with the Finance and Investment Committee to review different investment techniques and implement strategies.
    • Ensure the safety of the organisation's funds, earning maximum returns and giving ED and Board timely advice to keep up with the market trends.
    • Act as the liaison to the Finance and Investment Committee.
    • Contact point for external relationships, such as auditors, bankers, etc.
    • Responsible for developing new / improving current policies and procedures
    • Responsible for advising on internal controls and risk matters, and proactively recommend continuous improvement for efficient finance and commercial processes.

    Person Specifications:
    The jobholder has relevant experience in finance in a non-profit charity organisation and is expected to have strong analytical skills, an eye for details and accuracy, with good interpersonal and communication skills.

    Educational Qualification :

    • Degree in Accounting and Finance and/or
    • ACCA/CPA Singapore/CA
