Our client is a global leader for manufacturing products such as bearings, solutions for engines, transmissions, and chassis systems, as well as various industrial components and services.
This individual will perform dynamic modelling of mechatronics systems, control design and the coupling of numerical and physical systems applied to the mobility and robotics domain.
As a Mechatronics Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to develop hardware and software control architectures to support the companies R&D activities.
The Responsibilities:
- Develop hardware and software control architectures to support R&D activities, including testing, troubleshooting, and verification
- Create engineering requirements, specifications, and validation criteria for highquality research using physical experiments, sensing, numerical simulations, and data analytics
- Implement stateoftheart techniques and tools from literature to solve challenging problems
- Collaborate with industry partners, research institutes, and stakeholders for grant proposals aligned with SHARE at NTU's strategic goals
The Requirements:
- Hold a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering with a focus on Control Engineering and possess at least 5 years of relevant industry experience
- Demonstrate strong fundamentals in classical and modern control methodologies
- Preferably have R&D experience and expertise in constructing and implementing dynamic controls for mechatronics systems using PID and other Advanced Control Methods, preferably in humanoid robotics
- Proficient in C/C++, Python, and experienced in working with ROS 1 & 2. Knowledge of MATLAB is a plus
- Familiarity with system analysis and modeling, particularly for motors, sensors, actuators, and mechanical system kinematics
- Display a passion for tackling technical challenges and providing creative solutions for complex engineering systems
- Exhibit strong problemsolving skills, an analytical mindset, and attention to detail
