JOB PURPOSE


Take charge of co-ordinating the store activitiesand its observance of standard procedures andprocesses in order to maintain a consistent andexceptional level of customer service by ensuringthe company values are exhibited by all, achievingcustomer satisfaction at all times, whilstmaximizing store profitability and minimising riskand costs.


JOB ROLE
Customer Service And Sales performance management Achieve an exceptional standard of customer service (Step Up) ensuring its consistency throughout the store

  • Ensure that all staff adopt a consistent approach to customer care in accordance with the company thrust on Customercentric Initiative through service audit checks
  • Lead by example and ensure that all staff demonstrate initiative selling skills through good product knowledge
  • Maximise sales by demonstrating commercial and creative flair for visual merchandising
  • Utilise sales information and interpret sales data and communicate sales performance to the team in order to achieve sales targets
  • Effectively use the space available within the company guidelines in order to maximise profit.
  • Consistently be aware of competitor activity and communicate this to the team and management in order to initiate and implement an effective local marketing plan
  • Capitalize on daily sales potential by effective useof sales information and the best seller report
  • Consistent awareness of competitor activity andto communicate this to the team and management
  • Monitor and assess market trends and keep trackof new products and prices in the market
  • To facilitate merchandise planning
  • Resolve customer service shortfalls and handle any query or situations diplomatically, in coordination with Customer Care
  • Initiate service recovery in a costeffective manner, keeping immediate superior informed
  • Investigate and resolve problems, and take remedial action, to handle demanding situations such as dissatisfied customers, and operational matters, to safeguard the company's image
Team Performance Management Monitor and maintain high standard of the teams appearance and grooming at all times. Uphold strict adherence to company policies, standards and procedures from all store team members

  • Organise, develop and motivate the team effectively
  • Conduct/assist performance appraisals for all team members, using Customer Service Evaluation(CSI) as an effective supporting tool for evaluation
  • Prioritise daily duties and staff scheduling delegating where appropriate. Ensure daily store tasks are completed satisfactorily by all store team members
  • Adopt a proactive approach and encourage and promote ideas from team members.
  • Manage staff performance and communicate effectively set goals and targets for their own development
  • Maintain discipline and order of all team members
  • Coordinate training plans for employees withTraining and Relationship Manager Identify and assess the training needs of employees through observations and consultations with employees
  • Develop individualized and group training programs for employees in stores
  • Develop and implement training manuals that target tangible results
  • Select and manage resources, including working with both internal employees and training vendors to develop and deliver training
  • Keep abreast of training trends, developments and best practices Cost Control
  • Control costs to the budget plan by accurate forecasting of sale and monitoring of profit.
  • Control stock loss within company targets, and plan and impement stock audits.
  • Ensure effective control of all cash and store adminstration.
  • Prevent external theft by promoting the team's awareness of potential stock losses.
  • Know the policy with regard to apprehension of shoplifters and be able to act upon it.
  • Minimise loss though the efficient and accurate control of security, cash and administration procedures.
  • Initiate management administration checks and follow up as appropriate Standards And Process Monitoring And Review
  • Monitor and maintain store sanitation, health, safety and hygiene as per Company guidelines, and liaise with cleaners where appropriate.
  • Vigilantly looking out for all potential hazards within the store, regarding the staff and customer both on and off the sales floor areas.
  • Ensure that regular health, safety and maintenance checks are carried out and appropriate action taken wherever necessary.
  • Interpret and implement display and current seasonal layout guidelines o Adopt a proactive approach, in order to adhere to current display principles.
  • Implement high standards of visual merchanding and creative flair.
  • Adopt a proactive approach, in order to control stock replenishment to optimum levels.
