    Roles & Responsibilities

    ROLE OVERVIEW

    The APAC BI and People Analytics Lead will help to deliver the dentsu BI and people analytics strategy for their region by driving key projects that support improved data, process frameworks and fundamentally delivering insights to our business leaders through analytics.

    This role will give you the opportunity to play a key part in the design and creation of the data environment that is critical to the reporting and analytics world of dentsu. It will also allow you to work with senior people on some key business insight projects. The role reports into the Global Director of BI and People Analytics and will be part of a broader team spanning both Operations and HR.

    The role will require you to work collaboratively across the business and functions globally starting with your colleagues within the Global BI and People Analytics team as well as different stakeholders in your region such as IT, HR, Finance, Operations, Global Clients, and the Data Protection Officer.

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

    Leader and Project Delivery

    • Lead a small focused team of 2 with additional support from an offshore capability
    • Design and drive the analytics strategy for the region
    • Bring together a group of analytics people through a community of practice
    • Multitask a number of projects and deliverables which will range from annual global surveys, project plans for MDM and information for key global forums and Steering Committees
    • Design, agree and implement good governance and proactively monitor and report on overall progress through the right forums and frameworks
    • Work on improving BI processes globally
    • Support key regional initiatives with the stakeholders including the regional COO, HRD and CFO
    • Ensure continual alignment with wider projects being delivered across the business and global
    • Identify and monitor project risks (threats and opportunities) and issues

    Analytical

    • Build strong knowledge of the dentsu business, its technology and data sources
    • Work closely with the Data Protection Officer and Legal to ensure security and compliance is at the forefront of any build, analysis and data shared
    • Manipulate and build models to support analytics projects and insight generation
    • Create and design global reporting using technology such as Power BI, Knime, Alteryx, etc
    • Being an active member of the Global BI and People Analytics team and community helping and supporting regional markets with local needs
    • Driving the improvement and rigor of people data which will include ensuring security and governance
    • Working closely with the HR Information Systems (HRIS) team, Finance, IT and other data providers to support improved data collaboration, awareness and operational effectiveness
    • Ensuring the accuracy, integrity and consistency of people data in our core HR Systems (Workday and Glint) as a key part of driving influence through data-driven recommendations
    • Support the preparation, analysis and presentation of metrics for review by the Global Data and Analytics Director and other key business stakeholders
    • Helping to identify the latest trends and tools in data and analytics in the market to develop innovative and scalable solutions for dentsu

    ESSENTIAL SKILLS

    • Leading and managing a team
    • Able to derive insights and present back findings
    • Work closely and build strong relationships with senior stakeholders
    • Proven track record of Project Delivery
    • Analytics and data manipulation skills
    • Has a passion for data and analytics
    • Willing to learn and challenge themselves

    COMPLIMENTARY SKILLS

    • Understands data wrangling tools such as Knime, Alteryx or similar technologies
    • SQL skills
    • Strong Excel skills
    • Experience using HRIS systems such as Workday
    • Previous HR knowledge or experience
    • Have statistical experience
    • Awareness and experience of applying governance and rigor to data – understanding of GDPR
    • Experience using tools such as SSRS, SQL Server, Logic Apps, Data Factory, Azure SQL DB
    • They will be able to deliver insight from data by exploring (through R/SPSS/etc), visualising (through Tableau/PowerBI/Qlik/etc) and story telling
    • Can manage projects that span wider teams. This may be around Workforce planning, MDM or data warehousing. It is less about what the deliverable was and more about delivering a project with multiple stakeholders
