    Roles & Responsibilities

    We are looking for a Preschool Teacher for one of our German speaking classes. It's a full-time position with 40 working hours per week. Start date: from 1st August 2024.

    RESPONSABILITIES:

    • Fully responsible for running a Preschool homeroom class
    • Planning, implementation and assessment of the International Baccalaureate, Primary Years Programme (PYP)
    • Planning, preparing and sharing documentation in relation to school curricula and children's development, reports and digital portfolios. Involvement in policy writing, curriculum reviews etc.
    • Creating an inspiring learning environment that promotes children's agency, independence and allows for differentiation
    • Establishing working partnerships with parents and ensuring respectful and consistent communication about children's development and school life
    • Facilitating regular parents teacher conferences, parents' evenings, and other parents' activities
    • Contributing to the goals of the Preschool, reflecting the mission, vision and values of the School

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Appropriate experience and teaching qualification
    • Articulate and effective written and oral communication in German and English language, as the medium of instruction is in German language
    • Must have previous teaching experience in a Preschool setting: knowledge of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme and the Reggio Emilia philosophy is desirable
    • Must have experience in teaching hands-on and inquiry lead approaches as well as in a play-based curriculum
    • Enthusiastic and passionate when working with children, alert and responsive to their needs and interests, modelling and supporting inquiry and play based learning
    • Demonstrate highest levels of honesty, integrity and professionalism
    • Must be creative in delivering lesson plans and children-lead inquiry based learning engagements
