    Description

    Tower Research Capital, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks a Telco Project Manager in our Singapore office.

    Responsibilities

    The Telco Project Manager will be responsible for:

    • Collaborating with the Networking team on the Design/Architecture of low latency and traditional telecommunications circuits
    • Documeting all designs in detail and prcessing the designs through the review cycle with the Network Engineering team and Telco Team management
    • Managing the full delivery lifecycle of new services (circuits, cross-connects, colocation) Ensure time-sensitive deadlines are met
    • Updating internal customers and setting accurate expectations relating to the delivery of services
    • Working with Telco and DC vendors to coordinate deliverables, scheduling testing, managing troubleshooting and to validate billing
    • Managing the internal databases to accurately reflect service, system and vendor records
    • Monitoring ticketing systems for incoming requests and tasks
    • Collaborating with internal departments within Tower (networkinga and infrastructure, Techncial Project Management, trade teams and other stakeholders.
    • Managing performance of contracted services tracking and ensuring compliance of suppliers with contracted T&Cs
    • Working closely with accounting and accounts payable for accurate processing of supplier invoices and compliance with accounting guidelines
    • Troubleshooting invoice issues with internal and external stakeholders
    • Working with existing suppliers for contract renewal if needed, and collaborates with internal teams on contract renegotiation
    • Conducting service performance reviews with key suppliers for continuous performance improvements
    • Managing expectations by regularly communicating all order delivery updates relating to projects to the appropriate stakeholders
    • Providing hands-on support for escalations and issue resolution
    • Constantly monitoring the market in terms of vendor offerings and maintain accurate and up to date records of all services offered for the paths of interest to TRC
      • Build and maintain close relationships with key vendors in the region
    • Identifying solutions aligned with business requirements that may:
      • Lower costs
      • Lower latency
      • Increase reliability & availability
      • Identify new carriers or providers emerging in APAC
    • Interfacing with local regulatory authorities when required
    • Identifying and monitoring competitive activities and report updates to management team
    • Performing site visits independently and with vendors to perform various tasks and evaluations as required.
    • Creating and maintaining records relating to capacity at key exchanges and data centers

    Qualifications

    The ideal candidate will have:

    • Experience in strategic sourcing of IRUs, Dark Fibre, Wavelengths, Ethernet, and managed services
    • Solid experience in the telecom industry
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Good skills in complex negotiations and relationship building
    • Strong understanding of telecommunications (Ethernet, IP, Dark/lit circuits) and data center administration (power, space, cross-connects)
    • Experience with vendor management
    • Demonstrated ability for thoroughness, attention to detail, and good judgment
    • Ability to work well under pressure and to manage multiple priorities at the same time while remaining calm and composed
    • Ability to travel
