We are currently working with one of the leading international owner/ operators in the dry bulk market who are currently looking to hire a Claims Manager to work closely with their Operations department in Singapore.

In this role you will be responsible for solving day to day problems that occur whilst operating ships giving in-house guidance on a wide variety of operational problems before, during and after a voyage as well as any voyage related commercial/ FD&D claims matters e.g.

hire payments/ deductions/ off-hire disputes, hold failure issues, performance claims etc

You will require a thorough understanding of charterparty clauses both on a practical level as week as from a legal standpoint to assist the operations department.

You will need to be a strong decision maker and able to assess the company's position in various given situations regarding it's claims exposure and what the best course of action would therefore be.

You will be working closely with and advising various departments including operations, chartering, period support, marine accounting etcso the reach of this role will be broad.
