Your Role:


  • The HRBP role will be based in Singapore and will work in a regional HR team of 60. The role will report into Head of HR, Global Markets
  • AEJ.
  • The role provides senior HR advisory to the Global Markets division, and works very closely with respective function heads, divisional HRBPs, HR Specialist teams and regional regulatory and government bodies to deliver an exceptional level of service to the Nomura business.

Responsibilities:


  • Work with Head of Global Markets HR and team to drive, lead and execute HR initiatives for business division regionally with a particular focus in SEA.
  • Work closely with business heads and business managers to understand the business, its needs and leveraging the understanding for HR delivery and guide them to resolve HR issues.
  • Act as business partner to line managers on all human resources matters and provide human resources expertise in implementing business initiatives including and not limited to performance management, compensation practices, learning and development, and Firm policies and procedures.
  • Partner with campus recruiting and the business to implement and execute graduate and intern recruiting initiatives and programs.
  • Work in conjunction with the specialist recruitment team to ensure resourcing requirements are proactively understood and met in the region.
  • Partner with other HRBPs across functions and regions to foster teamwork and a positive work environment through frequent collaboration and sharing of best practices.
  • Partner with specialist Talent and L&D teams to implement ongoing training, career development planning and implementation of employee development programs based on business needs.
  • Employee retention, employee connect, propagate our employee value proposition.
  • Participate, provide advice and implement various people initiatives through focused work streams.
  • Keep abreast of the employment regulations and practice in Singapore to ensure HR operational processes are delivered efficiently and in compliance with local regulations, enforce adherence and mitigate any potential risks.
  • Represent the firm in Employer, Employee and Government bodies as and when required.
  • Assist in driving metrics reports and coordinate auditors and regulatory requests.
  • Oversee and participate in HR projects which involve change of existing HR policies and processes in line with local legal and statutory requirements.

Requirements:


  • Minimum a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
  • Minimum 10 years of human resources experience with client coverage, including experience consulting with senior managers.
  • Minimum 10 years of working experience in technical human resources expertise, including compensation, employee relations and staffing in a Financial Services environment.
  • Has covered both Hong Kong, Singapore and South East Asia local market with statutory knowledge
  • Ability to work independently with excellent communication skills and the ability to frame problems and solutions quickly and concisely.
  • Detailoriented and able to juggle multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
  • Effective at building relationships with business leaders and employees and able to accomplish his/her objectives through influence and persuasion.
  • A problemsolver, able to think strategically while possessing the knowledge and intelligence to quickly solve daytoday human resources issues. S/he should possess the judgment and maturity to balance the interests of the division with the overall goals and values of Nomura.
  • A team player, with collaborative style and mindset.
