    Overview:
    The Trading and Market Strategies team acts as the central trading desk for Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM), executing various trades across global asset classes for portfolio managers. This global desk operates in New York and Singapore, focusing on Fundamental Equity (FE), Quantitative Investment Strategies (QIS), among other areas within GSAM. Our platform provides institutional clients with diverse investment opportunities worldwide through a range of financial instruments and strategies.
    The team is currently seeking an Associate in Singapore.
    Key Responsibilities:
    • Execute trades involving stocks, ETFs, futures, FX, NDF, and OTC derivatives on behalf of Portfolio Managers
    • Collaborate with investment teams to develop and enhance implementation strategies
    • Provide market insights to team members across the division
    • Conduct pre and post-trade cost analysis to ensure comprehensive understanding of trading activity
    • Establish and maintain counterparty relationships
    • Lead or support various engineering or research projects for Portfolio Managers and the trading desk
    • Execute trades utilizing high-touch and low-touch methods
    • Engage in ad hoc project work, client interactions, and trading demos/presentations as necessary
    • Handle day-to-day administrative tasks, liaise with Operations & Engineering teams to support trading activities
    Qualifications:
    • Minimum 3 years of trading experience on sell or buyside, involving multiple asset classes
    • Strong interest in understanding markets with relevant experience
    • Independent thinker with strong analytical and quantitative skills
    • Motivated team player with a solid work ethic and ability to thrive in a team setting
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
    • Desire to pursue a long-term career as a buyside trader
    • Strong grasp of market dynamics and a risk management mindset
    • Adept at managing risk related to compliance issues
