Description
Manages kitchen operations and setting up of kitchens for new centres- Heads kitchens, and ensures smooth and timely food preparation and kitchen activities with mínimal food wastage
- Ensures adequate kitchen and food supplies with proper food inventory management system and process
- Implements health and safety procedures to ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and HACCP guidelines for effective food safety control
- Works closely with Centre Leaders to plan and create consistent, nutritious and quality food in accordance to HPB Healthy Meals in Preschool Programme and ECDA requirements
- Works closely with Purchasing Department to monitor food costs and manage budget
- Trains and coaches kitchen staff onsite or online; synchronously and asynchronously periodically
- Conducts regular kitchen, food health and safety audits to ensure compliance
- Supports Centre Leaders in adhoc food preparation and any other duties as may be assigned from time to time, especially if centres face staff shortage
- Reviews, suggests, consults, establishes new and/ or rewrites existing policies, SOPs and training materials
- Prepares reports and evaluations of audits and training sessions, as well as presents these information for management review
