    Description

    Pro Bono SG, formally known as Law Society Pro Bono Services, is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee with IPC status. We are looking for a Grant Research and Administration Specialist who will be an integral part of the Finance Department, primarily responsible for identifying potential grant opportunities, managing successful grant applications, tracking and reporting claims, and ensuring compliance with grant conditions and accountability milestones in collaboration with our Programme and Services Departments.

    This role supports the Development Department and the CEO's Office in securing and maintaining the funding necessary for our charity's crucial programmes and services. Further, you should support the tracking and monitoring of donations for fundraising events from grantors and donors.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Determine funding needs within the charity and conduct thorough research to identify potential grant opportunities aligned with our charity's mission and goals.
    2. Prepare and submit high-quality grant applications, including the development of compelling narratives and budget proposals in support of the Development Department and/or CEO's Office.
    3. Monitor and track grant application processes, ensuring all deadlines are met and any requested information is promptly provided.
    4. Manage grant contracts, working closely with the relevant Programme and Services Departments to ensure they are aware of grant conditions and can plan their work accordingly, ensuring all key milestones and deliverables are met as outlined in grant agreements.
    5. Track grant/programme income and expenditure versus budgets/forecasts and oversee the creation of financial reports to ensure compliance with grant requirements.
    6. Submit to grantors/management the relevant financials and claims report with completeness and accuracy, and on a timely basis.
    7. Any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department, such as supporting the tracking and monitoring of donations for fundraising events from grantors and donors.

    Requirements:

    1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
    2. At least 2-3 years of experience in accounting, finance, grant writing, research, or administration.
    3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    4. Strong organizational and project management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
    5. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy, particularly in financial management, budgeting, and reporting.
    6. Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and build collaborative relationships.
    7. Prior experience in grant management and use of grant research tools and databases in a similar capacity will be an advantage.
