Description

Our Client is a Japanese Recruitment Agency looking for a Head of Development to join their start-up phase.

You will be in charge of either the Platform Development team or the Machine (AI) Learning team of the company.

and who leads/manages the engineering team and also various services development.
You will be reporting to Director, Development team in HQ Japan

Communication will be all in English

【 What you will be doing 】

Leads/manages the engineering team and also various services development.
Frontend and backend development (design, implementation, effectiveness verification)
Verification and implementation of new technologies
Review and implementation of measures in collaboration with PdM
Recruitment of the potential engineers

Requirement:

Bachelor's degree or equivalency in Computer science
At least 10 years of experience in web service development (Own Web site)
5+ years of management experience
5+ years of development experience using statically typed languages

・List of development environments and tools to be used

Frontend TypeScript / Angular / Svelte Kit
Backend Scala / Play Framework / Slick / Serverless Framework / NestJS
Infrastructure

:
Terraform / Docker / AWS (IAM Identity Center, Cloudfront, ECS, Aurora, Redshift, OpenSearch, Cloudwatch Cloudwatch Alerm, EventBridge, WAF, Chatbot, etc.

Development Support

:
GitHub Actions / GitHub Enterprise / Redash / Slack / JIRA / Confluence
・Advantageous

Experience in development using state management libraries + frontend frameworks
Leadership experience in team development
Experience in technology selection/validation
Experience in database design/modelling
Experience with performance tuning
Quality assurance experience
Experience in project management and offshore management
