Description
Conduct and witness welding procedure and welder qualification tests.- When performing, reviewing or ensuring Nonsdestructive Testing in VT, MT, PT, RT or UT, WI shall be certified in the specific method (s).
- Prepare, review of Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) based on ASME and EN Standards.
- To qualify welders for project and supervise, monitoring their performance to maintain the less defect rate.
- Coordinate site inspection activities and monitor performance of inspectors.
- Review the calibration status and keep a calibration log of any test equipment.
- Demonstrating correct welding procedures and Generating new welding techniques.
- To establish propose Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) and qualification, preparation new Procedure Qualifying Records (PQR) for projects.
- To resolve welding issues through discussions with clients and the respective Project Management Team
- Any other adhoc duties being assigned in the course of the project, attend meeting with clients and managers.
